Etrasimod is a novel oral, selective sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) receptor modulator for the treatment of adult patients with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis. It can partially reversibly block the outflow of lymphocytes and reduce the number of lymphocytes in the peripheral blood, thereby reducing the migration of lymphocytes into the intestine and exerting a therapeutic effect.
