  • DPPC, also known as 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphatidylcholine, is a phospholipid containing the 16 carbon fatty acid/palmitic acid. It is commonly used in the generation of micelles, liposomes, and other types of artificial membranes.

    Physical and Chemical Properties: Chemical properties Monohydrate: Crystallization from thermal diisobutanone. Softened at 75~79 ℃. [α]D23 6.6. (C = 4.2,1:1 chloroform-methanol). Easily soluble in chloroform, hot diisobutanone or hot dioxane. Easily emulsified in water. Solubility at 22-23 ℃ (g/100ml): ethanol 1.5, ether 0.02, acetone 0.02, pyridine 1.1, acetic acid 4.0, methanol 1.4.

    Use: The application is natural surface active substance, which is the main component of exogenous surface active substance preparation. It is used to rescue newborns with a birth weight of 700g or more who are mechanically ventilated for RDS.s
